Rythmagica F-Series Drumsticks — Designed for the True Taiko no Tatsujin Experience

Precision-engineered for performance. Inspired by arcade mastery.

When we launched the TDC17 on Kickstarter in February 2025, we knew we were building more than just a larger drum controller.
We were creating an arcade-class platform for serious Taiko no Tatsujin players — a full-sized 17-inch drumhead built for intensity, speed, and the joy of playing just like in the arcade.

But to truly honor that experience, one essential element had to evolve with it:

The drumsticks.

🥢 Why We Couldn’t Just Use the C3

Our beloved C3 drumsticks, designed for the compact TDC10, had proven to be a favorite among casual and home players. Their shorter 32cm length and slim tip were perfect for minimizing noise and offering a gentle, forgiving feel — ideal for close-quarters play.

But on the TDC17, the same design didn’t quite translate.
The 32cm length simply wasn’t enough to comfortably reach across a 17-inch drum face. For players used to arcade proportions, it disrupted rhythm and muscle memory — introducing awkward reaches where none should exist.

And the slender front tip? Great for quiet play, but too soft-spoken for those chasing the crisp, responsive snap of the arcade.

We realized quickly: a new series of drumsticks was needed.

🔍 Listening to the Players, Studying the Pros

We went back to research mode, watching high-level Taiko no Tatsujin players across the world. Their drumsticks varied in material, diameter, and design — but we noticed some common themes:

  • Most arcade sticks measured between 36–40cm in length

  • The average weight ranged from 50g to 75g per stick

  • Diameters typically maxed out around 2cm

  • Thicker front ends produced a louder, sharper hit — preferred by some, avoided by others

There was no universal answer — just a spectrum of styles, each suited to different techniques, speeds, and comfort zones.

We embraced that diversity.

🎯 Introducing the F-Series: F3, F5, and F8

To offer players true choice, we developed three distinct models, launching together as our new F-Series:

Model Tip Thickness Description
F3 Slim Light and agile, ideal for fast passages and players who prefer a more flexible feel
F5 Balanced A middle ground — smooth control, solid feedback, excellent all-rounder
F8 Thick Bold and punchy, offering arcade-like impact and presence with every strike

Each pair comes pre-wrapped with grip tape for immediate use. No need to prep — just unbox and play.

🎵 Built for the TDC17. Tuned to You.

Unlike arcade machines, the TDC17’s sensitivity can be adjusted to suit your playstyle — no more pounding away to wake up a tired sensor.

Whether you're using the F3 for speed, the F8 for power, or the F5 as your daily driver, you can fine-tune the drum’s response to match your rhythm.
That flexibility gives you the freedom to focus on what matters most: your performance.

And as always, we’re listening.
This is only the beginning of our drumstick journey — and we’re counting on your feedback to help us refine, improve, and evolve the F-Series even further.
