How to Connect Two TDC10 Drums for Xbox and Play "Taiko no Tatsujin" in Two-Player Mode

Follow this step-by-step guide to set up your two TDC10 drums on Xbox for an exciting two-player drumming experience!

Pre-Setup Checklist

Before beginning, make sure you’ve completed the "Rythmagica Pre-Setup Guide for Playing 'Taiko no Tatsujin' on Xbox."

Step 1: Power On Your Xbox

  • Turn on your Xbox console and ensure it’s ready for setup.

Step 2: Turn Off Both Xbox Controllers

  • Hold the Xbox button on each controller for approximately 6 seconds.
  • Wait for the light on each controller to turn off, indicating they are powered down.

Step 3: Connect Two Xbox Controllers to TDC10 Drums

  • Plug one Xbox controller into Port B of the first TDC10 (Drum A).
  • Plug the second Xbox controller into Port B of the second TDC10 (Drum B).

Step 4: Set Each TDC10 to “Xbox” Mode

  1. Prepare Drum A:

    • Connect Drum A to your Xbox via Port A and power it on.
    • Open the TDC Mate app and connect to Drum A.
    • Navigate to the Settings page in the app and manually set Game Station to “Xbox.”
    • Power off Drum A once the setting is saved.

  2. Prepare Drum B:

    • Repeat the same steps with Drum B, ensuring Drum A is powered off while setting Drum B to “Xbox” mode.

Step 5: Start Drum A

  • Connect Drum A to the Xbox via Port A and power it on.
  • The Xbox controller connected to Drum A should light up, indicating it’s successfully connected.

Step 6: Launch "Taiko no Tatsujin"

  • Use the controller connected to Drum A to launch Steam RF and start the game.

Step 7: Start Drum B

  • Connect Drum B to the Xbox via Port A and power it on.
  • The Xbox controller connected to Drum B should light up, confirming the connection.

Step 8: Configure Two-Player Mode

  • Follow the instructions in our Video Tutorial (link to be provided) to set up two-player mode in the game.
