Guide to Playing "Taiko no Tatsujin" on TDC10 & Xbox

Pre-Setup Checklist

Before diving in, ensure you've completed the “Rythmagica Pre-Setup Guide for Playing 'Taiko no Tatsujin' on Xbox.” Once that’s done, follow these steps:

Step 1: Start Your Xbox

Turn on your Xbox console and make sure it's ready to go.

Step 2: Connect the TDC10 Drum Controller

Take the USB cable that comes with your TDC10 Drum Controller.

Plug one end into the Port A on the back of the TDC10.

Plug the other end into a USB port on your Xbox.

Step 3: Ensure Xbox Controller is Off

Hold down the Xbox button on the controller for about 6 seconds.

Wait until the light on the controller goes off, indicating it is turned off.

Step 4: Connect Xbox Controller to TDC10

Use the USB cable that comes with the Xbox controller.

Plug one end into the Xbox controller.

Plug the other end into the Port B on the TDC10.

Wait until the controller lights up.

Step 5: Connect with "TDC Mate" App

Open the “TDC Mate” app on your smartphone.

Make sure your phone is within 2 meters of the TDC10 for a strong connection.

The app will automatically connect to the TDC10, showing a Bluetooth connection icon in the bottom left corner.

Open the app, navigate to the Settings page, and set the “Game Station” option to “Xbox.” Return to the main interface, where the button layout will switch to the Xbox style.

Step 6: Start "Taiko no Tatsujin" Game

Use the buttons on the "TDC Mate" app to navigate through your Xbox menu.

Launch the "Taiko no Tatsujin" game from your Xbox.

If you are playing "Rhythm Festival" version of taiko game, please try one of the following configuration:

1. If your RF game setting is set to “Play with Controller” → Open the TDC Mate app and turn OFF "Arcade Mode."
2. If your RF game setting is set to “Play with Drum” → Open the TDC Mate app and turn ON "Arcade Mode."
