TDC10 Big Note Settings Guide

Welcome to the Big Note settings guide! Rythmagica has designed a fully customizable Big Note experience to fit different play styles. This guide will walk you through the available options and how to set them up.

Prerequisites

Before configuring Big Note settings, ensure the following:
TDC10 firmware is updated to version 2.31 or higher.
TDC Mate App is updated to the latest version:

  • Android 1.7.4 or higher
  • iOS 1.8.8 or higher

Once your firmware and app are up to date, you can adjust the Big Note settings to match your preference.

Option 1: Disable Big Note

If you prefer to turn off Big Note entirely, follow these steps:

  1. Open the TDC Mate app and connect your TDC10.
  2. Navigate to Sensitivity Config > Big Note Sensitivity.
  3. Turn off the "Big Note" toggle (see screenshot below).

With this setting, hitting the drum will no longer trigger a Big Note, and all hits will register as regular Don and Ka notes.

Option 2: Enable Big Note with Dual-Hand Hits

If you want to trigger Big Note by hitting with both hands simultaneously, follow these steps:

  1. Open the TDC Mate app and connect your TDC10.
  2. Navigate to Sensitivity Config > Big Note Sensitivity.
  3. Turn on the "Big Note" toggle and keep "AC Mode" turned off.

How it works:

  • When both hands hit at the same time with enough force, the hit will register as a Big Note.
  • You can adjust the sensitivity separately for Don and Ka in the settings.
  • Higher sensitivity values mean a stronger hit is required to trigger a Big Note, while lower values make it easier to trigger.

This mode is ideal for players who want precise control over their Big Notes while maintaining a natural arcade-like feel.

Option 3: Enable Big Note with Single-Hand Strong Hits

If you prefer to trigger Big Note with a single powerful hit, follow these steps:

  1. Open the TDC Mate app and connect your TDC10.
  2. Navigate to Sensitivity Config > Big Note Sensitivity.
  3. Turn on the "Big Note" toggle and turn on "AC Mode" as well.

How it works:

  • A strong hit with a single hand will automatically trigger a Big Note.
  • You can independently adjust the sensitivity for Don and Ka.
  • Lower sensitivity values make it easier to trigger, while higher values require stronger hits.

This mode is perfect for players who want a traditional arcade-like experience, where strong single hits naturally register as Big Notes.

Final Thoughts

The Big Note settings allow for full customization based on your playstyle. Whether you prefer disabling Big Notes, triggering them with both hands, or enabling single-hand heavy hits, you can adjust the settings to match your preference.
