Fine-Tuning Your TDC10 Sensitivity for Maximum Fun!

Great to see you’re diving into the world of TDC10! 😊 We’ve set the sensitivity at a neutral level right out of the box, mainly to protect those precious sensors during transit. But if you want to up the game, making even the lightest taps—maybe even finger taps—count, we’ve got you covered! Here’s how:

  1. Update First: Before anything, update your TDC10 to the latest firmware (v2.27) and install the newest version of the "TDC Mate" app. This will give you access to all the cool features.

  2. Adjusting Sensitivity:

    • Open the "TDC Mate" app and connect your TDC10. Head over to the “Setting” page and tap on “Sensitivity Config.” Here, you have two options to tweak the sensitivity:
    • Option 1: Adjust the sensitivity for all four zones (“Don” and “Ka”) using the “Sensitivity Threshold” slider. Lowering the threshold will make your TDC10 more sensitive, allowing for softer hits to register.
    • Option 2: Fine-tune the sensitivity for each zone individually with the “Signal Amp” setting. This is perfect if you want to customize each sensor’s response, giving you a more tailored drumming experience.
  3. Testing Your Settings:

    • The app includes a handy hit test feature in the “Sensitivity Config” area. After making adjustments, tap away and see the results instantly. If a hit doesn’t register, try lowering the “Threshold” value a bit more until you’re happy with the sensitivity.
  4. Pro Tips:

    • For little ones or light tappers, setting the “Threshold” around 5 should do the trick.
    • Advanced players, especially those who frequent arcade machines, might prefer setting the “Threshold” above 15 for consistent note output.
    • For most users, a “Threshold” of 10 should strike the right balance for regular gameplay.

Remember, the TDC10 is a smart and flexible device, so feel free to tweak the settings until they match your drumming style perfectly. If you have any questions or suggestions, we’re just an email away at support@rythmagica.net.

Thanks so much for your support and happy drumming!
